Today's track is quite full-0n, I can imagine this melting a few heads. It's an experimental piece, that's for sure. Trying to manipulate beats and timing in an interesting way with fairly minimal elements. The main drum loop at the beginning was copied and chopped up onto other tracks, with various pitch shifting, processing, arranging being applied to the copies, to make new rhythms and textures that work around, or against the main groove. Then other percussion sounds and layers are brought in. The whole progression of this track is somewhat unpredictable, so I guess I'm aiming on taking people through an aural terrain where certain recognisable signposts are pulled and pushed around for the sake of making the journey more exciting. Or something like that. It's a bit of wild journey. A bit like a roller coaster, that's almost coming off it's rails. Which is kinda how I feel at the moment.
